Whilst searching one day for referencing material of a photographic nature for a film poster I was asked to design, I came across a guy who’s photography is simply stunning.
His name is Joey Lawrence, and amazingly he is only 18 years old. Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, he has been travelling the world shooting for the last 3 years, and unsurprisingly has been catching the eye of the photographic community, winning awards from Microsoft, Bogen and the United way.
His photographs could grace the most prestigious of photographer’s portfolios and not look at all out of place, with an amazing eye for lighting, detail and composition, his work is unbelievably mature for a person of his age, most 18 year olds still at the arm-stretched, Myspace photo point in their lives.
I could literally spend hours on his website www.joeyl.com ‘reading’ the stories told, captured in the images and recommend nothing more that for you to go and spend some time there.
If a picture says a thousand words, then each of these is nothing short of a 1000 page novel.
